PEP and Microsoft Work Together to Improve
Computer Maintenance in Schools
Microsoft DOOEL, Skopje is donating $10.000 towards PEP’s Student Support Technicians Club (SSTC) program which is training students in primary schools to become support technicians for maintaining computers. On 10th April 2007, PEP Chief of Party Dr. Keith Prenton and Microsoft DOOEL General Manager Ilijanco Gagovski signed an agreement for cooperation. The funding will be used to
-
Prepare training manuals and training modules for the Student Support Technician Clubs (SSTC)
-
Set up a community of practice for the SSTCs and
-
Organize training for the students and teachers who will be part of the SSTCs
The SSTCs are an important part of PEP’s strategy to help schools solve their computer maintenance and security problems. In addition they will provide valuable and marketable skills to the students involved.
